Docindex - Document Repository - alpha release available
Docindex is an open, extensible system that permits web-based catalog searches and access-controlled fetch from a group of document repositories on multiple CVS (extensible to other) servers.
Install instructions still have some significant holes, the FAQ on the Sourceforge site is essential.
Docindex is in the process of being extended to be capable of acting as a full-blown document managment system.
This is a GPL'd corporate-sponsored development. The development team includes a contractor who was initially sponsored to contribute to the initial development. Companies interested in sponsoring contract development of additional features should contact the development team.
