  • Improved VoiceCode demo movie

An improved version (smaller, and easier to follow) of the VoiceCode demo movie is now available. This movie will be presented at CHI 2006 (Computer Human Interaction conference) in Montreal, in April.

You can get the movie from the Files section of our SourceForge site, or from this URL:

  • VoiceCode ready for public consumption

VoiceCode is finally in a state where people can use it to do real work in Python and C/C++. The system is still fairly hard to install, but the development team believes users will find the effort worthwhile. For a better idea of what this version of VoiceCode can do, see the latest demo movie at:

  • "Alpha minus one" Release

By popular demand, we are releasing this "Alpha minus one" version of the VoiceCode programming-by-voice system. This version is not usable and is released only to allow people to get a feel for the current status of the project. In particular, this version can only be used with a simple editor which we have developped for the purpose of testing and demoing VoiceCode. We plan to have the system connected to a real editor (jEdit or Emacs) within a few months, but for now this simple editor should allow you to get a feel for what VoiceCode currently supports.

An other way to get a feel for the current state of the project is to look at the demo movie which can be downloaded at:
