BioMail 0.71 fixes PubMed access problem
New version of BioMail (0.71) fixes the most serious problem -- access to PubMed database. Its search engine uses EUtilities, a webservice recently introduced by PubMed. As a result this version does not depend on the webparsing like older releases and will not be broken when PubMed programmers change design of their website. This version also has other goodies -- it can dump and restore BioMail's databases which is very handy in case of moving BioMail from one operating system or Perl version to another. It contains more translations of the user interface. There are such new features as linking searches directly to PubMed site, ability for administrator to extract all usernames and their emails, to send an email to all users and other small enhancements.

New 0.70 version is multilingual!
New version of BioMail, 0.70 is multilingual,
for now it has only Russian -- this is the only language I can add myself:-), but any language can be
added now, by translating /lang/en file from the distribution. New translations will be incorporated into the source ona regular basis. Also this new version allows to use Mesh terms in searches, has an option of getting multiple searches in one letter,
and 'HTML in attachment' feature added by Ali Herrera allows to use full functionality of BioMail even with text-based mail clients.

BioMail 0.63 is out
0.63 version is mostly a bug fixing one. It also adds more information to online FAQ and users now have an ability to
suspend their BioMail accounts for while.

New 0.62 version of BioMail is out
We released a new version, 0.62. The main differences of this version with the previous ones are:<br>
1. Searches now don't return the same reference twice anymore. (But different searches may have the same reference)<br>
2. BioMail is now compatible with MS Windows NT/2000<br>
3. All BioMail databases are now in dbm format.

BioMail/PubMed problem
BioMail receives references from PubMed database.
On January 14th developers of PubMed started upgrade of their indexing system based on "MeSH terms". MeSH terms should be updated periodically to keep up with changes in medicine and science.
As a result their reference database stopped daily updates for a rather prolonged period of time (almost a month for now). BioMail stopped to work
because it depends on daily updates of PubMed.
As soon as PubMed will be fully functional, BioMail will be able to continue the service.
