Project abandoned
I have officially abandoned the OpenMAD project. Development has ceased. The openmad.org domain name has expired. Anyone interested in taking over the project should let me know.

OpenMAD 0.0.1 pre-release B
The OpenMAD 0.0.1 pre-release B, another only partially complete but working demonstration of OpenMAD's dedicated simulation program, was released for download today, the first day of 2004. The second pre-release is a little more temperamental than the first, but the degree of functionality has improved by an astounding degree. Indeed, this pre-release contains all the intended features for 0.0.1, and the only reason that it has been designated a pre-release rather than a full release is because it is not yet completely free of bugs. However, it is quite capable of building, running and analysing simulations.

Website revision
Over the past two days, the http://www.openmad.org website has been substantially revised. A great number of broken links and the like were fixed, and much of the material has been rewritten to make it more focused on and relevant to the recent programming work that has been done and the OpenMAD 0.0.1 pre-release that was just made available. If you've downloaded the pre-release, now would be a good time to review the material on the website to make sure you're fully aware of where the project is headed - and if you haven't downloaded the pre-release yet, come to the website and find out what it's all about!

OpenMAD 0.0.1 pre-release A
The OpenMAD project is happy to announce that, after an unfortunately long time in development, the first release of our "OpenMAD" dedicated simulation client is here!
OpenMAD 0.0.1 pre-release A is, in fact, only a "pre-release" rather than a "proper releaes". The software is by no means complete, but is in a stable and functional enough condition that it has been made available for download to users who wish to see where the project is headed and perhaps help to bring it there.
The pre-release enables users to construct their own simulations by constructing simple differential games and then computing the results. The simulations can be saved as binary ".mad" files and opened again for later use, and the pre-release is distributed with four non-military example simulations to show what OpenMAD is capable of.

CVS repository active
The OpenMAD CVS repository has been purged of all outdated content from the previous development phase, and all the new code written so far by Luke Maurits and Fidel Schaposnik has been commited to the "openmad" module. You can browse the repository online at http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/open-mad/. You can check out a copy of the code annonymously with the command "cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/open-mad checkout openmad".
