Miranda IM v0.3.2 released
Miranda IM is a free multi protocol instant messenger client for Windows designed to be resource efficient and customisable. It uses very little memory and CPU resources.
Included in 0.3.2 are all the latest versions of some the protocols Miranda IM supports (ICQ, AIM, MSN, Jabber, IRC). You can download more protocols from the website. There is no official Yahoo! support yet but there is a very nice alpha version of a new Yahoo! plugin available. The most noticeable change in this version is that the ICQ protocol support has been moved to an external plugin. This means that Miranda IM is now completely protocol independent. We have also included support for AIM, Jabber and MSN in this release (more protocols are available on the website).
Miranda IM v0.3.2 is mainly a bugfix release that fixes many bugs and annoyances. It is a recommended upgrade for all Miranda IM users.

Miranda IM v0.3.1 released
The Miranda Instant Messenger project is happy to announce a new public release of Miranda IM. Miranda IM is a free multi protocol instant messenger client for Windows designed to be resource efficient and customisable. It uses very little memory, requires no installation and runs fast even on very old computers. Its powerful plugin system makes Miranda IM extremely flexible. Only the most basic features are built in, but there are currently almost 200 free plugins available for download that allows users to extend the functionality in Miranda IM. Miranda IM is open source and published under the terms of the GNU General Public License. OS support:
Windows NT4, 95, 98, Me, 2000 & XP. Protocol support:
Support for ICQ, AIM, MSN, IRC and Jabber is included in this release.
The following protocols are available as separate downloads on the website: Gadu-Gadu, ICQ Groupware, Yahoo, Netsend, EmLanProto,
Vypress Chat, POP3, Tlen and more!

Miranda IM's GNU GPL license violated
Four weeks ago it was discovered that a instant messenger application, called ZeeZ IM, was based on stolen source code from Miranda IM v0.2. ZeeZ IM was developed by the Australian/Russian company QuickRiver Ltd. The distribution of ZeeZ IM have been stopped but QuickRiver Ltd. has not yet provided the complete source code. Miranda IM v0.3 released

Miranda IM is a free multi protocol instant messenger client for Windows designed to be resource efficient and customisable. It uses very little memory and CPU power, and is so small that it can easily be kept on a single floppy disc.
The most noticeable change is that the ICQ protocol support is now moved to an external plugin. This means that Miranda IM is now completely protocol independent. We have also included support for AIM, Jabber and MSN in this release (more protocols are available on the website).
