LDAP improvements in ProcessMaker 1.2-2284
Thanks to our community and forum members for making suggestions on how to improve ProcessMaker’s LDAP integration. Your comments were taken into account for this most recent release Version 1.2-2284.This newest version release includes improvements to authentication source options, a number of bug fixes, as well as the following minor new features. You can download the newest release, and its patches, from Sourceforge:http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=215099&package_id=259471&release_id=5730061. Document downloads: When you view a case from the Information panel for the lists “Uploaded documents” and “Generated documents”, there is now a link to download the document directly, without the need to enter and view the details.2. Time zone configuration: The time zone used by ProcessMaker can be set by configuring the db.php file in each workspace. The following php instruction should be included:define(’TIME_ZONE’, ‘America/La_Paz’);where “America/La_Paz” can be replaced by any supported time zone (for more details, see http://www.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php). By default the time zone will be set to “America/La_Paz”.3. LDAP improvements: In the “Authentication Source” list, the option “Import Users” was added. You can now search for users in the LDAP server and import them to ProcessMaker. If an LDAP user name already exists in ProcessMaker, it will not be imported and a message will appear. The data imported from the LDAP server includes: Username, Full Name, E-Mail and Distinguished Name (which is the chain that is used to autheticate in the LDAP server). Imported users will be active and assigned the operator role.In addition, it will no longer be necessary to configure the Authentication Source for each user. By default, ProcessMaker will configure each user to authenticate with the source by which it was created.
