eWorld: 0.8.3 released
eWorld is a framework to import mapping data from providers, such as OpenStreetMap.org (OSM), visualize it, edit and enrich it with events or annotational attributes and pass it to traffic simulators, such as SUMO or VanetMobiSim.
Hello eWorld-users,
it is again time for a new release. In the last weeks we fixed several bugs and made eWorld ready for you ;-) Especially the event handling and map editing functions were fixed, but also the statistics import was touched. For a full list of changes and fixes you can refer to the user manual.
Kind regards,
Stefan

eWorld: 0.8.2 released
eWorld is a framework to import mapping data from providers, such as OpenStreetMap.org (OSM), visualize it, edit and enrich it with events or annotational attributes and pass it to traffic simulators, such as SUMO or VanetMobiSim.
Hello eWorld-users,
5 months after the last release, its time for the new eWorld 0.8.2. This time the focus lay mainly on bug fixes and performance improvements. The OSM-Import and EWD-Loading takes now up to 90 % less time and is more accurate/stable. In addition to that, eWorld supports now the new Sumo 0.11 file format. For a full list of changes and fixes you can refer to the user manual.
Kind regards,
Stefan Reichel

eWorld 0.8 released
Hello eWorld-users,
the time has come for a new feature-rich release of eWorld - version 0.8. Apart from several bugfixes, this release includes the addition or improvement of the following features:
- Simulation Statistics
- Definition of Traffic Scenarios using Start-/Destination Areas
- SUMO Netfile Importer
- Vehicle Editor
- Visualizer Displays Traffic Light Status
For further information on changes, please refer to the user documentation available in the download section.
There are still a few known bugs with recent SUMO releases (>=0.10.0) which we are currently working on. Nevertheless, feel free to try the eWorld release now, so that we have the chance to tackle any remaining bugs before a new group of student developers takes over.
We, that is the current team of developers, had a lot of fun working on eWorld and hope that you can make use of the results.
Best Regards,
Lutz Gericke

eWorld 0.7 released
Hello eWorld-Users,
the eWorld developer team is proud to announce a new and updated release of eworld - version 0.7. Besides a bunch of bugfixes, many new features were included in the new release that you shouldn't miss:
- The performance of the map visualization interface was boosted by introducing several levels of detail. Thus, visualizing larger maps is not an issue anymore.
- eWorld can now be used as an editor for routes and trips that can be simulated e.g. with SUMO. Defining trips is made as easy as possible, simply use the builtin map visualization to define the trip or the route and export it into your simulation files.
- Additionally, a visualization and simulation control interface for SUMO has been introduced. This allows you to start SUMO directly from within eWorld and show the movement of the vehicles on the eWorld map. Furthermore you can also control the simulation progress speed or execute it step by step.
- Last but not least the user manual and developer documentation were updated and will help you to exploit eWorlds full potential.
This is the last release of the current developer team and we wish you a lot of fun with the new version. Soon, a new group of developers will take over and will continue the current work.
Best Regards,
the eWorld Team

eWorld 0.6.5 released
Hi everybody,
there are two good reasons for another minor release in the 0.6 branch of eWorld:
The first is that again very helpful feedback of you - the users of eWorld - we fixed some important bugs.
The second reason is the introduction of a new plugin! So we proudly present the brand new minimap plugin with this release. It is supposed to provide helpful additional orientation when working with large maps and to speed up the navigation.
Having tested this feature for quite some time internally we are now looking forward to getting feedback from the masses for this completely new feature.
Additionally to this new eWorld release there is a new eWorldEventServer release 0.2.5 (which will be released this evening too) that fits the current eWorld version. So if you use eWorld 0.6.5 together with the eWorldEventServer you need to upgrade the server too.
Last but not least we would like to encourage you to try out the new version and to provide the same good feedback as you already did for the previous versions. By the way - thanks for all that feedback!
So have fun with the fresh 0.6.5 release of eWorld!
Cheers,
Jonas
