SyndStore v 0.1.0 is now available
SyndStore is a web based news aggregation system that uses a MySQL backend and a AJAX enabled front end to allow categorised news feeds to be viewed in a web browser.
Version 0.1.0 of the SyndStore system introduces several behind the scenes updates. These include an improved installation system that allows for the installation of SyndStore onto systems where the installer may not have full access priviledges, a Hosted installation. Also the back end code has had some optimisations suggested by several contributors as mentioned in the comments in the code.

API access to news articles now in v0.0.10
The latest version of SyndStore is now available for download. This newest version now provides an API to allow access to the news articles in the database. Full documentation is provided in the docs/index.html file.
To show off the capabilities of the API a Firefox extension has been included that displays news articles in a scrolling marquee on the browsers statusbar. See the online help file once the SyndStore system is installed for installation instructions of the browser extension.
Next plans are to streamline the installation of SyndStore on hosted systems and hopefully the next updates won't take quite as long.

New Feed Statistics Page in v0.0.9
Selectable columns and information ordering on the feed statistics page introduced in this version.
Also some other minor changes as detailed in the README file.

SyndStore v0.0.8 hits the streets
SyndStore v 0.0.8 introduces the ability to fine tune the user interface via a preferences feature.
Things like number of news articles displayed on the Latest news page, the default category displayed when the Latest News page is first opened, and the number of articles shown on the Random News page are some of the items currently tunable... more to come.
Some other minor changes and bug fixes also in this release.

v0.0.7 adds Backup and Restore
Released today, September 4th, is version 0.0.7 of the SyndStore RSS aggregator.
This version introduces a new backup and restore system to allow protection of the important details of the SyndStore database.
Also introduced is more in depth documentation aimed at administrators to help configure and fine tune a SyndStore system.
Some other changes include a new default font used in the interface, a new method used for searching articles and some new directory structures to allow future features to be added.
