  • Rifidi Version 1.4 is now available

Rifidi is a powerful IDE for developing RFID applications. Rifidi enables rapid RFID development by providing a platform for accurately modeling an RFID environment with virtual RFID readers and RFID events. Our goal is to be able to model real-world RFID scenarios with popular commercial RFID equipment that functions and generates data similar to a real-life system. This will allow new levels of business analytics and system validation prior to full scale deployment.

The new release of Rifidi -- Version 1.4 -- adds a few features to the LLRP beta release, namely support for more kinds of start and stop triggers, the ability to get and set properties, and the ability to run multiple LLRP Readers at once. It also cleaned up some of the internals so that it runs more efficiently and conforms to the LLRP specification. For more detailed information about the new features added, see the release notes and the updated LLRP "Hello World" client in the documentation section.

You can download this new version at:
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=170933&package_id=225051&release_id=530361

You can find details of a simple “HelloWorld” application here:
    https://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=63189&group_id=170933

The full feature list and product roadmap can be found on our site:
    http://www.rifidi.org/download.html

The user’s manual is downloadable or available online here:
    http://www.rifidi.org/docs/index.html

Rifidi 1.4 is a complete virtual reader based on the LLRP specification. Over the next couple of weeks we will be working to validate and ensure that it complies with the EPC Global standard as intended by its authors and users.

We welcome your involvement by testing and providing feedback. You can find more information about LLRP on the LLRP toolkit project (http://www.llrp.org) as well as client side libraries for accessing an LLRP Reader.
