The Stripes project is pleased to announce the initial release of Stripes. Stripes is a Java web application development framework that has been built from the ground up with a focus on ease of adoption and use by developers. It builds on concepts made familiar with Struts, with improved implementations using advanced Java 1.5 features. A signifncant goal of Stripes is to reduce the number of artifacts required to develop a page flow, and remove the need for XML configuration!
The current release of Stripes (1.0.1) includes a feature set that is designed to satisfy the needs of all but the most niche applications, including rich object binding, indexed properties, validation, formatting, internationalization, file uploads etc.
