Bumblebee 1.1.5 (developer snapshot) released
A new developer snapshot of the Bumblebee Instrument Management System has been released. The developer snapshots support PHP5, a translated interface a fine-grained permissions system.
These releases are only for the brave and loyal testers (i.e. those who really want to see Bumblebee work under PHP5 as soon as possible). While the developers are living in their own dog-box and there are a number of these snapshots being used in production environments, the code has undergone extensive changes compared to the 1.0 series and new features == new bugs. Of course, you regularly backup your data anyway, don't you.

Bumblebee 1.1.0 (developer snapshot) released
The first developer snapshot of the next major
iteration in the Bumblebee Instrument Management System
has been released. The big news is that PHP5 is supported
by this version and that Bumblebee now uses the gettext i18n
engine so that the iterface can be translated to other
languages with minimal effort. Parts of the code have been
profiled and benchmarked to improve performance; the
calendar view in particular is significantly faster now.
This release is only for the brave and loyal testers
(i.e. those who really want to see Bumblebee work under
PHP5 as soon as possible). The code has undergone
extensive changes compared to the 1.0 series and
new features == new bugs. Of course, you regularly
backup your data anyway, don't you.
The database format used by this release is the
same as that used in the 1.0 series so you should be able
to install this in parallel to a 1.0 installation for
testing.
