IndLinux.org's Milan software enables Hindi users to use computers in their own language, a major leap forward in bringing the benefits of information technology to Indian masses

IndLinux.org announced the launch of IndLinux Milan v0.37, a Hindi interface to Gnome, the graphical user interface (GUI) of the GNU/Linux operating system. IndLinux Hindi v0.37 released

IndLinux Hindi Gnome release contains all what is needed to work on
Gnome 2 in Hindi. It contains required fonts ( in fonts/ ) , keymaps
( keymaps/ ) and hindi translations for Gnome 2 ( trans/ ).

What you can do now:
- View and type Hindi in Gnome 2 applications - eg gedit, gnumeric, glade etc.
- Use some Gnome 2 applications with Hindi interface -eg gedit, gconf-editor,
balsa, anjuta2, nautilus... read more

Gnome 2 Hindi translations

Gnome 2 Hindi translation is in full swing, already set of pots from Gnome core have been translated and included in Gnome CVS. Target is to have atleast Gnome Core translated before Gnome Final release.
