Resolve installation problems
First of all, thanx to all who tried wmeTV so far.
The app is in alpha stage so you´re likely you run in to some kind of trouble when using it. When trouble begins at installation it´s unfortunate, and I can only provide you with one solution: download the source code and compile it on your local system. If you don´t have Visual Studio 6 but have problems installing wmeTV then, well, you´re out of luck I´m afraid. To these unfortunate ones, here´s some good news: wmeTV 0.01b (the upcoming version) will be based on the .NET platform which will affect the stability and compatibility of wmeTV in a positive way. wmeTV 0.01b is scheduled to be released this fall (2004).

You can help others!
To help other users, you can share your wmeTV configuration files (*.wme), profiles (*.prx) and channel lists (config.mdb). Please e-mail your files to me (kreeben@users.sourceforge.net) and state your country and TV tuner card model, so that the wmeTV team can post them om the wmeTV homepage.
You will also help both other users and the wmeTV team by reporting any bugs that you run into. Please post any bug reports on the wmeTV homepage ("Forum --> Bugs").

First prototype release - wmeTV 0.01a
This is the project´s first release of wmeTV, a TV viewing/recording application based on Windows Media Encoder. Executable and source is available in the files area. Make sure you read the documentation ("How to get started", find it in the docs area). All comments are greatly appreciated. Use the forum. Peace.
