version 0.0.3 soon / CVS in use
Hello,
Work on version 0.0.3 is progressing.
Version 0.0.3 focuses on providing a GUI and will, of course, be a move towards a feature-complete software.
CVS is being used to publish the updates, the File Release of SourceForge are not updated very often, by the way...
your help is welcomed !

En route for version 0.0.2 !
And your help is welcomed !
I am trying to implement two things in version 0.0.2 : Polar USB interface support for win32 and SuperWaba UI. the polar USB interface will allow desktop-owner to join the project, as the currently supported built-in IRda is mainly available to laptop-users. There are 3 ways to do this :
* jUSB, an independant implementation of USB for java
* javax.usb, the 'official' JCP-endorsed USB support, based on JSR-80
* and libusb/libusb-win32, which is a C librabry and thus require a JNI wrapper around it.
I first went for jUSB, but I could not get it to work : it requires a custom USB device driver, something well beyond my capabilities.
I'll give a try to libusb ( used by daveb.net 's s710 ). I hope to achieve some succes.
As for Superwaba, HeartBit already works on SW for Win32.
I'll wait for SW 5.0 to be released ( mid-december) to built the Palm-side IRda native library. SW 5.0 will allow libs to be written using PalmSource's PODS, which is free, as opposed to the $250 CodeWarrior currently needed. I've started to learn about SW GUI on SW/win32.
Do not hesitate to join and lend a hand !
