As a mater of fact, I found 'rxvt' to be one of the most significant
improvements from Cygwin to MSYS. X is quite brittle and can be
difficult to set up. It's also a resource hog and has to see a
network. While I can and did get it working on this machine at one
point, it simply was not worth keeping up. If you go for X, you will
NOT be producing a 'minimal' system, at least not in my opinion.
On the other hand, if you can do something LIKE an 'xterm' without all
the overhead and brittleness, go for it...
