Michael,

I rewrote whatoptions.sh today, the old one was a mess, the new one is a
lot cleaner.. and committed it to CVS.. Can you look at it and see if
there is a accurate method of detecting debian? In fedora I would use

if [ -f /etc/fedora-release ]

I'm sure there is something for debian like that.. basically it is for
the --mozilla-home setting.

I've committed this to CVS now... on Fedora this looks pretty good and
Debian is probably ok now.. probably need to adjust the installer now.

I have just updated from CVS and I have discovered that uninstall.sh =20
and install.sh were present in CVS. Is this not a failure since the are =20
both automatic generated from configure?

In my case the update complained about merge conflicts since I am using =20
firefox-1.5 and you are apparently using firefox-2.0.

Michael,

They are autogenerated, but since an error is generated if they are not
there for some reason, I kept them in CVS... The merge error can be
ignored, since they are regenerated by configure.

problem is that playing of the stream does not automatically starts =20
when sufficient cache has been downloaded. Manually pressing play =20
button closes the window. Pressing the same HD link once again opens =20
the window and now playing starts correct and automatically since the =20
old cached part still remains in /tmp

Now and then HD stops playing and the OS volume shows-up in the windows =20
- though with a different level. After some flickering playing =20
continues. A synchronisation problem between sound and movie?

Michael,

How big do you have your cache set too? If you are playing lots of HD
movies then using a cache of 2000K to 4000K is recommended. Depending on
how fast your internet connection is. Because the problems you are
seeing sounds alot like a cache size issue. mplayer sometimes won't play
apple HD movies if less than 1000K of the movie is tried to be played.

Can you do me a favor and tell me the output of these commands..

pkg-config --variable=libdir xulrunner-plugin

And perhaps these. I'm assuming there is an iceweasel-dev package? Or is
debian just building everything upon xulrunner?

What I am trying to do is figure out of there is away to get rid of the
debian specific stuff in the script. There should be a common place that
plugins can live and it can be detected cleanly.
