For me, Windows sees the gumstix, but I can't get it to take the .inf
file. If I point the wizard at the directory containing the file, it
just fails. If I pick "Choose your own driver", then Windows says
"this file doesn't describe your hardware". I may have picked the
wrong driver class... I tried "Network Client" as it was the only thing
in the list that seemed appropriate, but maybe I got that wrong.

Yup. I built a 2.6.10 kernel for my SUSE box, and usbnet works fine
