I had not had the problem with the tmrbt, but rh7.1 did hang and the linux
that came with the user_mode_linux-126.96.36.199um-0.i386.rpm hung. It wasn't
until used the prebuilt kernel 2.4.4 that I got anything to boot.
the root_fs.rh71.pristine.bz2 hung there for me too. I guess I can't complain
until I roll my own ;-)
There are jsut a few irregularities I'm not sure of, but hey, second day
