All in all, I would vote to not add any leading characters to denote
string. Most programming languages seem to use [A-Za-z0-9_] to mean
"word character". I like keeping the ability to say that: "Any string
that doesn't begin with a word character, needs to be quoted."
In other words, I'd like to keep this rule simple to remember.
