That is a good sign :) If things are working correctly, that page
should include marked up results of the search. The prompt for a
format gives you an opportunity to specify the output format. For
a default install, 'long' and 'short' should be valid options.

When testing with a browser, I think you will need to call htsearch
through a web server, rather than with the file:// protocol. Also,
although something like http://.../cgi-bin/htsearch should give you
results (a no matches page), you should probably be testing with
the installed search page (search.html) instead of calling the
CGI directly; that will give you an opportunity to enter the search
terms and make sure reasonable values are being passed to htsearch.
