Mark and Doug,
To me it looks like the 2.1 release from 12/01 is the most assured to be
stable. The next tag in CVS is for 2.2 alpha 0 which was tagged sometime
after July 31, 2003. Unless I am mistaken the current CVS head is still in
flux, somewhere between 2.1 and 2.2 with a bunch of stuff still not working.
With that said (unless someone else knows something more or better) I would go
with the 2.1 release.
As for the current status...The main developer is expecting to get back to
work on the 2.2 release near the end of August and hopes to get a 2.2 release
out around the end of September or early October...At least that is the plan
that I have recently been informed of.
