It seems I was wrong three months ago.. I am back:)
I have talked with Jeff and agreed that we should try put something
together based on newer Mozilla code. I have also begged Jordan to send
me a bundle of his and "asmpgmr"s patches. Most of those patches have
landed now together with a few other fixes. If all goes well could we
have "something" ready "soon"? or is that too much to hope for? anyone
else willing to spend some time in helping out?
A quick search in the bug database gave me another good dozen of bugs
that I hope to look closer at. We'll see if some of them can get fixed
as well.

>>I also want to start looking ahead to K-Meleon 0.8. Right now, we have a

>>Of course, please check first to make sure that it has not been filed

>>issues that would expedite the development cycle for 0.8:
>>
>>1. What features have been included in Mozilla since 1.2 was released that
>>we would want included for K-Meleon users?
>>
>>2. Continue work on streamlining the JAR files. This involves replacing
>>XUL interfaces with native interfaces or removing XUL interfaces where we
>>already have native interfaces. I believe that Jason Foss had created a
>>stripped down version that eliminated several hundred K.
>>
>>Jason: Will you be able to do this again for the next release? Can it also

>>
>>3. Updated About page. I can't recall offhand who created the updated
>>About page but it's a very nice addition to the browser. Can you update it
>>for the next release? Also, it doesn't work when Javascript is disabled.
>>Can you create a no-script section to handle that?
>>
>>4. Menus configurations, accelerators, etc.
>>We need a consensus on any new entries to these current configurations
>>keeping in mind that we don't want to go overboard with menu items. Some
>>frequently mentioned ones include adding links to Help pages online.
>>
>>5. New background image?
>>I know I'm ready for the IE 3 background image to go. Does anyone want to

>>6. Preferences
>>Are there any preferences that need to be in the preferences panel that
