  Do you mean the last standalone version of EDE, or the last
version of CEDET, cedet-1.0pre2?

I'm using the one which comes from cedet-1.0pre2, it seems the most
recent one (ede.el is v1.63 2003/09/17) which is quite old.

Strange that I'm the only one having noticed this problem (confirmed on
both my Debian Testing at home and a Solaris box at work).

So either :

1) (warning troll inside) Nobody use Xemacs anymore, having all switched
to emacs

2) Nobody (at least no Xemacs users) use EDE anymore

3) Nobody care to have a menu and prefer using command-lines
instructions

4)There is something wrong with both my configurations at work and at
home...

  Yes, it is.  Could you please test the following steps:

    - xemacs --no-init-file --no-site-file

    - (load ".../cedet-1.0pre2/common/cedet.el")

    - (require 'ede)

    - 'M-x ede-new'

    - 'C-x C-f ...'

and see if the problem persists (or if the cause is your config
files).

Have just tried, and the menu still doesn't appear.
I'll try at work tomorrow but I doubt that it's related to the
configuration (I haven't too much things in my .xemacs directory).

It will be maybe faster if someone could point me the part which create
the menu. I will then try to execute it directly and see if the
problem is in the instructions which create the menu ?
Is it in ede-dired.el ?
And how can I execute it directly ?

ede.el, line 490 is where the menu is created.  I didn't do anything
on purpose for making the menu work for XEmacs.  I know it needs
something special but there my experience ends.  I was thusly
surprised when drkm postulated that it worked for him in XEmacs.
Emacs will show menus that show up in the minor-mode-map.  XEmacs
needs some sort of declaration for a menu to appear.  I would be happy
to accept a patch that would fix this deficiency.

  I didn't say that.  I don't use XEmacs, but I tried to help

I know so little on the topic (and have little time at the moment for
verification) that I totally believed you. ;)

Anyway, if anyone knows how to solve it, please let me know.

I'm a real beginner with (X)emacs, but I'll try to give it a shot and
make a patch.
