maybe it's just a case problem. Try asking for a featuretype name with exactly the same case as it appears in the list of feature types for = the given datastore in the gui application. If this doesn't work, please send me some more info about your problem. = A stack trace could be helpfull. Be sure to specify the full qualified name of your feature type on your = WMS or WFS request, for example: http://host/geoserver/wms/GetMap?LAYERS=3DSDE.SDE.LAYER_NAME1,SDE.SDE.LA= YER_NA ME2&WIDTH=3D.... There is a jira task to allow for non full qualified names to be = specified as well as to leave the "instance" parameter blank and use the default = sde database for the given connection. Actually if you do not specify the instance name the datastore will say this parameter is mandatory. I = just figured out it is not, hope to resolve it as soon as possible. Please continue sending feedback about your use of ArcSDEDataStore, = since it is the only way I could ensure it works in ohter environments than my = own desk :) best regards, Gabriel Rold=E1n -----Mensaje original----- De: Juan Mar=EDn Otero [mailto:jmo@...] Enviado el: jueves, 29 de abril de 2004 8:06 Para: geoserver-devel@... Asunto: [Geoserver-devel] ArcSDE - please help I downloaded geoserver rc1.2, and it looks very promising. Web = interface works just fine under Tomcat 5.0.19, I can add ArcSDE datastore and featureTypes just fine. The problem is that even though my ArcSDE = layers show up in the Capabilities document (and information about them seems correct), when I try a getFeature (WFS) or getMap (WMS) I get a "no = such layer found in this server" exception. I have tried to put the instance name before the table name as suggested by the documentation (info.xml file, by hand), but this makes the layer disappear in the Capabilities document. I have set up the parameters for the DataStore correctly, since those = same parameters are used in other applications (ArcGIS, custom apps.) and = they work fine. I am quite confused, some help might be very appreciated. Thank you very much, Juan Mar=EDn Otero TRAGSATEC S.A.
