You are using gtk+2.4 ?

This bug has been fixed in CVS. You should make sure DISABLE_DEPRECATED
is not defined on the command-line. Something like that.

I could compile from CVS; I had to compile both libgphoto2 and gtkam from=
 CVS.

Now there is another problem with utf-8, here the messages I get in the x=
term
use to launch gtkam:

(gtkam:2274): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to set label from markup due to erro=
r
parsing markup: Erreur =E0 la ligne 3 caract=E8re 9 : Texte encod=E9 UTF-=
8 non valide

** (gtkam:2274): WARNING **: Invalid UTF8 string passed to pango_layout_s=
et_text()

And sometimes a popup window gives this one:

I have a sony camera DSC-F717 which is recognized by gphoto2 as DSC-F707V=
 in PTP
mode. All what I can do with gtkam, is to download photos from camera; it=
 is
impossible to upload or delete photos, it is impossible to create a new
directory on the memory stick. I don't know if this related to the fact t=
hat
hotplug seems to have some difficulties with the memory stick, here the m=
essages
in the log when I plug the camera:

It is not guarented the the camera supports all of these operations.=20

The Sony PTP firmware can only download photos, it cannot even delete them.

Can't we make the driver smarter and spit out a message that a user can
understand ? Just my 0.02 CAD on usability.
