Part of standard mingw runtime 1.x distribution.   It supports libstc++.v3
but the functions are ISO C89 (or in the case of strtoll group, C99) and
useful in their own right.

The libstdc++v3 upgrade won't happen until the GCC-3.x upgrade.  I can
release 3.0.2 now, but users will complain that compilation of C++ is
blazingly slow.  3.1 is much better and has fixed at least one major
long-term bugs in handling of attributes.  A 3.1 release in April/May 2002
is my target

I'm getting too many "extension" dependencies in my GCC-3 sandpit.  I want
to commit some of them so I can consider some of the sand as terra firma.

That is the way it is now, but..

I was considering libisocext.a to be treated like liboldnames.a, with the
lib spec'd as a default, sitting next to liboldnames.  My long-term
objective would be to put ISOC99 fp/math functions and other newnames there
as well.

	Guess I didn't say it, exactly...so now it is going to look like a "me too", ;-)

	No objections here.  Was just wondering what your plans were for the future.  I like your idea about modifying 
specs for a later release.

	I also agree that we should attempt to keep processing time to a reasonable minimum.
