We could/will do it, since my colleague, Alexis Maldonado is already
working on building Gazebo models, so we will need a Player driver soon
- it will have to link against an external library (libcan something...);
- Amtec usually works only with one manufacturer of CAN cards for Linux
(the name slips my mind, but I will check it tomorrow at the office), so
not sure if their code (which we got the approval to play around with,
modify and publish) has anything to do with that;
- there aren't too many CAN cards with Linux drivers afaik, :(, and
those who have them are mostly closed source
We will think about it within the next few weeks, and come out with a
solution that could be "healthy" for other research groups that (will)
own the powercube manipulators (we have a 4-DOF one and 2 6-DOF ones).
Reed, I will keep you posted on our status, and in case you work on it
too, we could share the workload.
