This makes me think. To make such things configurable in the GUI seems like
overkill. However, we could make it easily configurable in the kilerc file.
Advanced user can change this file and novice user will never have to be
bothered by this feature.

Maybe it is just me, but I saw a Nvu screenshot. Anyway, Kile will never try
to be LyX. So if you want a WYSIWYG (La)TeX editor, you should consider LyX.
