Hmm, i could also install the native one and test it - but IMHO cedet should also install fine with the cygwin-port of XEmacs - shouldn't it?
So, maybe you should install the cygwin-port of XEmacs too ;-)

But i agree with you: I definitively do not understand some mysterious behavior with my XEmacs here concerning cedet --
BTW: In the meanwhile cedet run with XEmacs except cogre which i can not compile...but i do not need cogre...
FYI: cedet 1.0 beta c seems to work fine with my XEmacs - beside the problems during INSTALL...
