I respectfully disagree. If I install a package, and the amount of free space
on / decreases while the amount of free space on all other filesystems
remains constant, that's a pretty strong indication that the files are on the
root filesystem.

Yes, and that bug is what was causing packages to be installed on the root
filesystem. Balatoni Denes emailed me offlist about this, and told me the
workaround was to comment out all other destinations in /etc/ipkg.conf, which
makes sense.

Once again, that was my point. I've been using *NIX for 12 years. The trick
is knowing how to figure out what packages are installed on / (Balatoni told
me about ipkg-link, which can do this also), then knowing which ones can
safely be moved.
I put Konqueror on / which is the bulk of it, so maybe I'll move that, but I
would rather leave that there so it starts up quicker, and move some other
stuff. But I have to select that other stuff, because I don't know what it
came with and what I installed.
If you say the newer ipkg will fix some of these problems, I'll check that
out. Thanks.
Truth be told, I'm getting a little tired of some problems I'm having with
OZ3.0, and I may revert to the Sharp ROM if 3.1 doesn't get released soon.
