I've just started to use Gramps and I must say I'm impressed by it's
look and flexibility. And I like to see that you're asking for input!
In the past, I used "Reunion 5" on the Mac as my genealogical program
and I really liked one aspect they use, which is to have a family
display show the full family. It's similar to the current display,
but it has the parents of both the selected person, and the currently
selected partner, as well as the kids of those two people.
Something like this:
Father: .......... ...........: Father
Mother: ....... . . .........: Mother
. . . .
. . . .
. . . .
. . . .
Husband: Wife:
.................. ...................
.....................................................
. .
. .
. Children .
. .
.....................................................
So it was very easy to goto a single person and then browse up and
down the generations. If you clicked on a parent or child, they would
get moved to the active Husband/Wife sides, and their info would get
populated with their kids, etc.
Would it be possible for Gramps to get something like this as well?
