This sounds pretty good. I think RedHat (and possibly debian-stable) is
the last python 1.5 holdout. I'd expect the release of what should be
RH8.0 will be about 3 months out. This might be the point to look at the
move to GNOME 2 as well. RH is usually the more conservative release, so
most other distributions will probably supporting GNOME 2 by that time.
