I've the same result, but I notice that the receiver get power after
loading the lirc_serial module. The receiver has a LED indication
signals from the remote control. Without the lirc-module the receiver
dosen't blink. One or two month ago I have found a source code archive
at sigma degins that includes a driver for the remote for the
hollywood+. I've downloaded it and lost it and now I'm unable to find
it again :-( Maybe someone else has this archive? Might be a good
starting point for a driver...
