Asyncore seems to work best under Linux. Under NT, and I guess BSD, it
is slower. There's an issue going on that I haven't figured out yet.
Geoff's suggestions didn't help with the speed issue. I'm surprised
it's slow under BSD, though. I had noted that, but I figured it was
something funky with my BSD setup.
The benefit to asyncore is probably marginal on anything but a heavily
loaded site. It will be slower for lightly loaded sites.
