Quite the same problems I had/have. Everything works fine when sending to my
Access Point(sending to a PC connected via ethernet wire to the AP), but
sending to my Sever(Linux PC with Netgear MA111 USB wireless) was
problematic(it's not very problematic any more, but I have not solved it
Sending big files crashed ndiswrapper(and my keyboard) and sometimes the not
very much involved Access Point. I updated the drivers on my server, and now
with the CVS version from today the crashes seem to be gone. I transfered 100
MB without a crash. The upload via samba seems to have stalled, but a ping
still works. Looks like a Samba or konquerror problem.
TX is still slow, but with setting a lower MTU it increases significantly.
Default MTU gives 30 kb/s, the best for me is about 600(85 kb/s). Maybe this
is due to the Scatter/Gather DMA. The card supports a maximum packet size of
1412 bytes. If a packet is to large the driver has to split it up.
Ndiswrapper copies everything into a big package, the miniport driver splits
it up again. The stange thing is that sending to my AP works with 350 kb/s.
Any other ideas?
