I've been looking at these issues. I have fixed several, and I have some
questions. See below.

This is fixed. Checked in CVS.

Fixed. Syntax error in the GEDCOM file.

I'm not sure I understand this one. Can you provide a bit more
information?

Merging for places and people has been reinstated. In CVS.

Fixed. The problem seemed to be that the button for deleting the active
person's parents tried to delete the spouse's parents. In CVS.

I don't have a way to edit either the active person or the spouse from
the family view. Double clicking the the spouse edits the marriage. The
active person information is a text box, and does not handle handle
double clicks.
I am open to suggestions on how to handle this. I'm not sure what the
mechanism should be.

From the main Person List, you should be able to add all this
information. When adding a child from the family view or a person when
selecting a spouse, GRAMPS displays a "quick add" block to allow the
person to be added quickly. Should this be a full edit window?

I think this should be fixed now. The first item in the list is selected
now, so the arrows should work.

Child ordering worked under 0.8.X, but has not been ported to 0.9.X yet.

I can't seem to duplicate this. Can you provide some more information?
