The max amount of memory a 26bit only Acorn machine can handle is 16 Mbytes
(4 memory controllers handling 4Mbyte each)
I wonder how many A540 (or R260) with 16 Mbytes are still in use today.
Probably a very small minority... (I have an A540, but I haven't used
it for several months).

Every arm processor from the ARM610 to the SA is 26/32 bit. Xscale
and THUMB are 32 bit only.
