After opening the font selection dialog, in the console I get stuff like:

This does not occur after I have an already selected font in the entry,
only the first time the entry is empty. Should be fixed ASAP (should be easy).

Still more comments :)

If I enable "Override skin settings", the fonts change as they should
when I exit the dialog with the OK button. However, if I go back,
disable "Override skin settings", and exit the dialog once again with
the OK button, the fonts don't change back to the originals. If I exit
the app and start again, they come up in the original state, but maybe
this should be fixed. Or the "need to restart Aqualung" dialog has to
be displayed... but the former (proper) solution would be much better.

I've fixed it by reloading current skin. Restoring is performed only when
override option was disabled.

Very well, everything works fine here. :)

I think you have every reason to resolve #22 with an "implemented in
latest CVS" message or something like that. Note that we generally
don't _close_ the bugs, we only _resolve_ them.

I have rebuilt the CVS tarball so everyone can pick up the latest changes.

I though it would be better if you can add submenu to popup, called
"Calculate RVA", with -> "Average" and -> "Separate" points.

I want to ask, what RVA settings I have to set to Calculating
RVA like normalize calculate? Because I cannot get the same results
like with normalize, with any RVA settings...

Try to use the horizontal line at Settings->Playback RVA (Steepness
set to zero), that should bring all tracks (or track groups) to a
semi-identical loudness level.

The results will never be exactly the same as normalize, because
the implementations are different.

could you add an option to turn it on/off (either to the top of
Settings/Appearance page, or the bottom of Settings/Playlist would be
good IMO)? I like it myself, but I think it would worth it to increase
the flexibility of the program.

Since it's connected with playlist, the option should be in Playlist
page.

some minor points:

* Checking "select first and close window" before hitting Search
didn't close the search window for me in either the Music Store or the
Playlist. Is that supposed to happen?

* If I select "Show track name using bold font", the active track
appears in bold as it should. But when I set it back, it remains
bold. However, if I close the playlist and open it again, the font is
set back to its correct state. I think this should not be needed.

* I feel that "Show track name using bold font" should rather be "Show
active track in bold" instead, since only the active track is shown in
bold, not all tracks.

Update: this happened only the first time when the checkbox was
initially unchecked as the Search dialog opened, and I checked it
before hitting Search. Opening the Search dialog afterwards, the
checkbox is already checked, and the search window does get removed.

I think it will be fairly easy to correct this ;)

Update2: the same happened with the active-playlist-entry-in-bold
setting. At first it didn't reset to the original state when I
unchecked it, but now it's working.

I see you state this as preliminary, so here are my ideas :)
I see that the files are scaled to 200x200. Could there be an option:

(1) ...so the aspect ratio of the image can be preserved (i know, we're
    talking about album covers which tend to be rectangular, but who
    knows, this might be useful)

(2) ...to not magnify the picture if it's smaller than the default
    size (we still have to make it smaller if it's big, or else it won't
    fit), but if it's small then it will be looking very pixel-ish, so
    sometimes it's better to leave it small. Let's leave the (global)
    decision to the user.

(3) ...so the default size could be adjustable, I find 200x200 a tad
    too big (or is this some kind of standard? I'm not really familiar
    with this kind of stuff).

((4) ...to take the actual width of the comment pane into account?)

   Hey, this is a really nice start. It's probably a better overall
solution than my wife had thought to ask for. Good work.

1) My problem - where do I get >700 jpg files? I went to Amazon and
downloaded a few to test, but it will be a big job to go and find
these one by one on the web. Any ideas? Does the online cddb stuff
carry graphics?

2) Anyway to show the cover art within the player so that the work is
enjoyed when the music store is closed for the night?

BTW - one small thing I ran into was the names of the Aqualung icons
placed under /usr/share changed names which messed up my launchers in
Gnome. Was this on purpose? I don't care what the names are as long as
they remain consistent.

It was a deliberate choice that all icons are named 'icon_XX.png'
where XX is the size of the icon in pixels, so it is now
consistent. This system will be kept in the future, so no more abrupt
changes to anticipate. Sorry for the inconvenience.

skin fonts, I get many GTK and GLib messages like this:

As far as I've looked into the issue, the source of the complaints is
in the playlist_size_allocate() function (playlist.c). Some times font
change manages without any problem, but most cases I get these
warnings. I expect the fix should not be too difficult (not the first
time we see GTK feeling sick).

Weird. Sorry, but I cannot reproduce this. I have tested 0.172.0 on three
machines without problems (support for the new fonts has been added
in the same way as old ones). What glib/gtk+/pango libs do you use ?

I use glib2-2.6.6, gtk2-2.6.10 and pango-1.8.1.

I have glib2-2.6.4, gtk2-2.6.4 and pango-1.8.1. I don't really think
the problem is with the different versions anyway.

Taking gtk sickness into consideration I would careful with such 
statement ;-)

Seriously, I don't have an idea what is wrong. 
Please do tweaks with open_font_desc() (if font description is opened
correctly) around line 444 or comment lines 480/481 in options.c and test
if it changes something with your problem.. (the new thing added in
0.172.0 is change_skin() call in lines 480/481 to refresh widgets size
with new fonts)

Maybe we should disable playlist_size_allocate() when fonts in widgets are
changing ?

  'File Info' dialog. Aqualung displays folowing info:

    - List of samples/instruments names
  So, get recent libmodplug (http://modplug-xmms.sourceforge.net/),
  download some modules (http://amp.dascene.net/) and
