Use CVS to get the latest version.
Joerg tell me, long time ago, that he will make a new release but nothing
from the 31 march...

I think that FreeMind try to load the pattern file, Patterns.xml, and
don't find it.
Check freemind.props in your home directory (~ is for home dir) and put
the correct path to Patterns.xml. A version of this file is distributed
with freemind package.

I think that this version is ok, not easy to install I know but it runs.
