I have an identical receiver (from an HP Vaio desktop) and noticed that
both transmitters always operate. I've never had them work independently.
Running Mint 13 with LIRC 0.9.something...
Is there a particular reason you need them independent? Like running 2
identical settop boxes? If they're DISH brand, you can program the boxes
to expect different IR codes.
