We don't really have a mechanism for "rescinding" a release beyond what
I've just done (mail to sbcl-announce). I don't think I'd encourage
writing workarounds; if you need to proactively avoid bug reports based
on this from your users, maybe something like
(compile nil '(lambda (x y) (symbol-macrolet ((z y)) (svref z x))))
(type-error () (error "You have a broken SBCL version")))
but it's only another 25 days or so before the next release...
