On OS X, I strongly recommend retrying the same thing outside SLIME/SWANK first. You may well get a useful listener on C-c in raw SBCL.

I believe that, the way we build on darwin, only the builder has useful debug information. If you build an SBCL on the same machine, you should have everything gdb needs. However, none of the Lisp code is tracked by gdb. Instead, you likely want to
thread apply all call_backtrace_from_fp($rbp, 100)
to make the runtime print backtraces on its stdout.
