(Catching up on my email.)
I have some code, but I'm not working on it, and am highly unlikely to
spend measurable quantities of time on it during next year or so.
My stuff external format stuff is at
and isn't integrated to SBCL at all. Anyone who wants to steal /
finish / mutate it is more than welcome.
I'm not saying it is a good starting point, but it might give some
ideas, or be one more performance comparison item.
What it does is perform decently (beating or matcing closely every
lisp external format syste I compared it against), handle newline
policies, and has some BOM facilities in place as well. Several
external formats are also implemented.
