Yes, SQLite is no longer officially supported. We will leave the code
in and ensure that it "works", but
we recommend it for testing only. It is "use it at your own risk".
Tip:
For Enterprise Bacula, we highly recommend PostgreSQL. The upside is
that it generally
performs better than MySQL and is more stable. The downside is that out
of the box, it is
very poorly tuned for Bacula, and it needs more maintenance that MySQL.
Those who are
serious about Bacula should either find a good DBA or get the book
"PostgreSQL 9.0 High
Performance" (or its successor) as the book explains how to properly
setup a PostgreSQL
config file. The oldest PostgreSQL you should be running is 8.4. Both
9.0 and 9.1 are
even better.
