Well, that is the danger of using one of my development branches!

It is very likely that they will have bugs, be re-based frequently,
and possibly be completely broken at times.

In this case the 1GB POP protos I had did not have proper board id's,
so I hard coded a board type of 3 in my development branch while
working with these boards.

Now that I have reworked the boards to return proper board ID I've
removed that hard coded value and rebased the branch.

It looks like u-boot-sakoman-2012.07 is the default for meta-gumstix
[master].

If it's a dev branch for you, it's probably not a good choice for Gumstix
stable.

Gumstix switched to using 2012.07 back in September. The commit (2cb6995) 
message doesn't say why.

Since there are probably useful features in 2012-07, maybe Gumstix should
fix
on a specific commit in 2012.07 for their stable branch?

Doh, I should have finished my coffee before responding!  I thought
you were referring to omap-v2012.10, which is a dev branch.

I see now that I must have started debugging the 1GB COM support in
omap-v2012.07 and then switched to v2012.10.

So somehow an early version of the 1GB POP support patch got pushed to
omap-v2012.07.  Definitely my bad!  It is fixed now.

Yes, probably would be a good idea to do that, or to base it on
upstream + a set of patches based on my commits.

I'll create an official gumstix u-boot repository that will basically
track Steve's repository.  Overo is typically so close to mainline
that patches + mainline seems like a good option (and keeps the
pressure on to make sure things get upstreamed) here.  For new
products though, having a repository on which to develop will useful.

No problem.

It was a welcome distraction. I'm trying to reliably get the SGX drivers 
and
Qt embedded OpenGL working for the Overos.

I do have it working on a DM3730 system, 3.2 kernel, TI Graphics SDK 
4.0.6.2.
All the Qt OpenGL demos are running fine, good frame rates.

But now I'm trying to recreate from scratch and document the process on a
clean build system and I can't get it working again!

Even with a working system to compare too!

How can it be this hard!!! ;-)

The u-boot thing was a small side-track while building on the fresh system.
