Sorry.. I didn't read your question carefully enough. As a punishment
for my sins, I have added a new Addon for Gramps 3.3 for changing
Given Names. I would make a backup before using, but this is based on
an almost verbatim copy of the Change Surname Tool, so it should be
close to identical to that functionality.
You can go to preferences, and update the Addons now, selecting the
"Change Given Name" tool. I see that in my own database both of these
Change Name tools could be revised: they don't treat punctuation as
spaces, and so don't upper-case items in parens or quotes. But it
should catch a fair number of case-errors.
