From: <jamwiki-announce@li...> - 2011-08-06 17:03
|
The third beta release for the next major JAMWiki release is now
available for download and testing. Barring serious issues it is
expected that this will be the last beta before JAMWiki 1.1 final is
released:
http://jamwiki.org/wiki/en/Latest_News#JAMWiki_1.1_Beta_3
IMPORTANT: This release is a BETA release version of JAMWiki. It should
NOT be used in production environments.
Draft release notes for the JAMWiki 1.1 release can be found at
http://jamwiki.org/wiki/en/JAMWiki_1.1 and include a list of new
features, bug fixes, and installation instructions.
Individuals who want to help with the final JAMWiki 1.1 release are
encouraged to install and test this beta release and contribute feedback
(including "works for me" with a description of your app server, OS and
database) at http://jamwiki.org, and to report any bugs at
http://jira.jamwiki.org. Help with translations would also be greatly
appreciated and will earn all contributors a much-coveted credit in the
CHANGELOG; see http://jamwiki.org/wiki/en/How_to_Help#Translations for
instructions.
This beta release has been tested with Postgres, MS SQL, My SQL, Oracle
and HSQL databases, as well as on the Tomcat and Resin app servers.
While the code has thus far proven to be stable, all of the normal
caveats apply; in particular: BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR DATABASE AND
EXISTING INSTALLATION PRIOR TO INSTALLING!!!
Thank you,
The JAMWiki Team
