To test the video working on e-con camera driver, please try mplayer it will stream it on lcd (palo43 lcd dimension is provided)


mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:device=/dev/video0:width=480:height=272 -vo fbdev -v -brightness 0 -contrast 0 -saturation 0 -flip

Note:


Please make sure the driver version should be more than 1.0. please get the latest driver from technical support.

Hi Oliver

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately I don't have the LCD module
with my gumstix, and so everything is happening over ssh. However, I did
manage to get a .yuyv video recorded with the sample application that came
with the camera. So this confirms at least that the video does work.

However when I try to record a more standard format (.mpg for example) using
ffmpeg (e.g. ffmpeg -i /dev/video0 -s 320x240 -o out.mpg) it causes as
segfault. I am hoping to stream the video from the camera with ffserver,
have you had any success with this, or something like this?

  Yes, With the latest release version 5.0 those problems are removed.

  we fixed the bugs in the driver. And now, we are able to encode using
ffmpeg without fail. please find the release notes in the deliverable
In that supported and tested application with commands are provided.

Some Tested open source applications are
   mjpeg-streaming, mplayer, menucoder, gstreamer, ffmpeg.

  Yes, We are successfully make use of omap dsp encoding and tested camera
with wifi streaming.

that was delivered with the camera.

Could you please let me know how to get the release version5.0 driver and
detail information about WIFI streaming? for example image size, frame rate
and WIFI throughput.
