I've found the solution. I use this method :
>>> mod_attrs = [( ldap.MOD_ADD, 'uidNumber', '1000' )]
>>> l.modify_s('uid=francis,ou=users,dc=example,dc=com', mod_attrs)
I had began with this method, but my error was to keep number as integer and
not as string.
