The proprietary Windows compilers comprise a whole lot of different
platforms (depending on the vintage of your Windows system and other
factors) so it may be difficult for anybody here to replicate your issue.
I don't have access to Microsoft Windows myself, but I have recently had
some success with MinGW-4.5.0-1 and older MinGW versions under Wine (using
the "MinGW Makefiles" CMake generator), and others here (much more
experienced with Windows platforms than me) have also had success on
Microsoft Windows with older MinGW versions.
So if nobody can replicate your issue I suggest you try MinGW. The latest
release of that is 4.5.0 (see gcc-4.5.0-1-mingw32.RELEASE_NOTES.txt under
Once you are up and running with MinGW, that should help to give you enough
PLplot experience on Windows so you may be able to make some progress with
the current issue you have found for one of the Microsoft proprietary
